CROSS Network Intelligence (CNI) is looking for an outstanding full-time Sales Engineer to join our growing team and transform the way Telecoms model their network by supporting the sales of our innovative (OSS) software solution, CROSS.

This is an exciting time for CNI as we plan the next phase of our growth. Our ambitions are international and our plan is, within the next two years, to move our HQ to the USA to better exploit growth funding and customer opportunities.

To manage this growth, CROSS is expanding both its senior management, sales, and engineering teams in software development and customer delivery. Description

CROSS Network Intelligence is looking for a Sales Engineer reporting to the Director of Solution Architecture and working alongside the Sales Team. The Sales Engineer will take overall charge of the technical pre-sales engagement, working alongside the sales team and senior management. The successful applicant will speak fluent English and be completely comfortable engaging with customers both verbally and in writing. Customer presentations, responding to RFx’s and dealing with customer questions are key elements of the job, along with presenting CROSS in a positive, compelling way.

CROSS software pulls together elements of GIS and Telecommunications to provide Telco Operators with a ‘Single Source of Truth’ network inventory. Experience of both GIS and Telecommunications would be ideal and may come from a background in fibre, microwave, or mobile radio however, a strong foundation in one of these with a willingness to learn the others will be fine. It is expected that the successful candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Key person attributes are:

• Fluent written and spoken English. This is the critical requirement, interviews will be in English and, as part of the selection process, candidates will be required to give a short technical presentation in English.
• The successful candidate must be completely comfortable leading discussions with new and existing customers.
• Modifications of existing modules.

Expected Candidate Profile

• Strong professional Java development skills and experience.
• Experience in GIS and OSS gained from working in a fibre, microwave, or mobile radio environment.
• Self-starter willing to learn about CROSS and the industry using previous projects and the internet as sources.
• Must be comfortable working without direct daily supervision. The successful candidate will be provided with direction but will then be expected to complete the work independently. In other words, they will be told what needs to be achieved but then expected to complete the work with minimal supervision.
• A willingness to travel up to 30% of the time once circumstances allow this.
• Ideally based in Prague, Brno or Ostrava, but remote working will be required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record and understand of the modern telco OSS environment. Technical exposure to the following would be an advantage:

• Telecommunications OSS software
• Fibre networks
• Mobile networks
• Agile
• APIs
• SQL
• Analytics, BI & Tooling
• GIS, Smallworld or ESRI

About the solution, CROSS

CROSS software is an innovative telecommunications OSS platform that builds a Single Source of Truth by integrating data from many network Operational Support Systems (OSS), Network Management Systems (NMS) and paper records (Excel), into a single database and surrounds this with service tools. CROSS’ USP is that it doesn’t Federate or Register different data sets, it actually reads them and builds its own database, linking all the data from the many different possible sources. Integrated data is displayed on a GIS map with location, circuit data and an active schema and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of alarms is available. CROSS is written in Java and uses SQL database technology; it is accessed by users through a web app.
